About us

Mecke & Partner GmbH supports private individuals and companies' employees with respect to tax matters as well as the planning of retirement provisions. We are particularly specialized in complex tax situations.

If you are an employer looking for a tax advisor for your employees who have relocated to Switzerland or are here on secondment, you have come to the right place. We take care of the tax returns of expatriates and prepare tax equalisation calculations/ tax reconciliations in compliance with your secondment policies.

We will also be happy to advise you if you are a private individual and have questions around taxes, social security or retirement provisions, or if you need assistance with the preparation of your tax return. Our special expertise lies in clarifying cross-border issues such as social security and taxes for internationally mobile individuals, avoiding double taxation and the tax effects of moving to or leaving Switzerland.

We have many years of experience in filing tax returns and answering questions that arise when one's own situation deviates from the norm.

It is important to us that you have a personal point of contact with whom you can discuss your tax and social security issues and with whom you know that your tax and social security matters are in good hands.

Angie Mecke
Managing Director and Partner

After successfully completing my studies in economics in Bochum, Germany, in 2008, my husband and I travelled through Australia for a year.

Subsequently, in November 2009, I started my career with an insurance broker focusing on social insurance. There I acquired a solid understanding of the Swiss social security system and in particular the occupational pension plan.

In February 2012, I followed my real passion and joined the Global Mobility Team of an international tax consulting and auditing company. Initially, I prepared Swiss tax returns for internationally mobile individuals and was also their contact for tax and social security issues before, during and after their stay abroad.

After a few years, however, I joined the Global Equity Team within the same company. Among other duties, I was responsible for several of the largest clients and advised internationally active companies and their employees on the international taxation of bonuses and employee participation plans.

Since I moved to Switzerland myself in 2009, I know from personal experience the hurdles that come along with an international move.
