Determination of source tax tariffs

As of 1 January 2021, the withholding tax law has been revised. In this context, the cantonal tax authorities of the canton of Zurich have provided a calculator for determining the withholding tax tariff.

The tariff calculator guides through a few questions by means of which the applicable source tax tariff can be determined. It should be noted, however, that the tariff classification may not correctly reflect more complex cases. These include persons who pay alimony, or cohabiting couples who can claim half of the child deductions each, as well as cases for which double tax treaties are applicable.
